International Day of Education: AI and Education at The Kids Research InstituteToday, 24 January 2025, is International Day of Education, a global celebration of the power of learning to transform lives. This year’s theme, “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in an Automated World”, underscores the critical role of education in preparing kids for a future increasingly shaped by AI.
Recruitment of active participants for ORIGINS is now closed. However, families having their baby at Joondalup Health Campus can still contribute to life-changing research.

ORIGINS welcomes undergraduate, Honours, PhD, Masters, and Doctor of Medicine students, in addition to junior doctors or trainees wishing to undertake a research placement or project as part of their studies.

Examining whether consuming prebiotic fibre in pregnancy reduces the risk of developing allergic disease in the first three years of life.

The BioMood project will study how following a Mediterranean diet during pregnancy affects the gut microbiome, metabolism, and inflammation, with the expectation that it will promote a healthier microbiome and better mental health.
