Sensitization to immune checkpoint blockade through activation of a STAT1/NK axis in the tumor microenvironmentOur results identify a pretreatment tumor microenvironment that predicts response to immune checkpoint blockade, which can be therapeutically attained
Research
Acquired resistance during adoptive cell therapy by transcriptional silencing of immunogenic antigensThese findings suggest that tumor cells employ multiple epigenetic and genetic mechanisms to evade immune control
Research
Tissue-resident memory CD8+ T cells promote melanoma–immune equilibrium in skinOur results show that TRM cells have a fundamental role in the surveillance of subclinical melanomas in the skin by maintaining cancer-immune equilibrium

Differential Sensitivity of Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma Xenografts to an IGF-II Neutralizing Antibody May Involve Activated STAT3These findings implicate the activation of STAT3 as one pathway that may mediate resistance to IGF-II-targeted therapy in HCC

Immunogenicity and safety of single-dose, 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in pediatric and adolescent oncology patientsAll children who are receiving therapy for cancer should receive a single dose of PCV13 as soon as possible after diagnosis, regardless of prior PCV exposure.

Asymptomatic CMV infections in long-term renal transplant recipients are associated with the loss of FcRγ from LIR-1+ NK cellsCMV can be reactivated in symptom-free renal transplant recipients, affecting the phenotypic, and functional profiles of NK cells

Mixed Proteasomes Function To Increase Viral Peptide Diversity and Broaden Antiviral CD8+ T Cell ResponsesMany proteasomes expressed by normal cells and cells exposed to cytokines are "mixed", that is, contain both standard and immunoproteasome subunits.

Altered immunity and dendritic cell activity in the periphery of mice after long-term engraftment with bone marrow from ultraviolet-irradiated miceTo investigate the immune capabilities of peripheral tissue DCs generated in vivo from the BM of UV-irradiated mice, chimeric mice were established.

Characteristics of TCR Repertoire Associated With Successful Immune Checkpoint Therapy ResponsesImmunotherapies have revolutionized cancer treatment. In particular, immune checkpoint therapy (ICT) leads to durable responses in some patients with some cancers. However, the majority of treated patients do not respond. Understanding immune mechanisms that underlie responsiveness to ICT will help identify predictive biomarkers of response and develop treatments to convert non-responding patients to responding ones. ICT primarily acts at the level of adaptive immunity. The specificity of adaptive immune cells, such as T and B cells, is determined by antigen-specific receptors.
