Positive End-Expiratory Pressure Levels during Resuscitation of Preterm Infants at Birth: The POLAR Trial

Investigators: Andrew Gill

External collaborators: Assoc Prof David Tingay (Murdoch Children's Research Institute)

The POLAR trial is an MRFF-funded randomised controlled trial, co-ordinated by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Melbourne.

The POLAR trial aims to determine the most effective positive end-expiratory pressure levels to apply to the lung from birth when stabilising preterm infants in the Delivery Room. King Edward Memorial Hospital is a participating site for POLAR trial under the leadership of Clin Assoc Prof Andy Gill.
