The Kids Research Institute Australia (Jonathan Carapetis) is a member of the new Global Strep A Vaccine Consortium; a global GAS vaccine consortium that will drive strategic planning to anticipate requirements for licensure, prequalification, and policy recommendations.

‘Accelerating Development of a Group A Streptococcus (GAS) Vaccine’ is a collaboration between The Kids, IVI and HSPH, and funded by the Wellcome Trust, to realize to the extent possible the GAS vaccine R&D roadmap defined by WHO; and to justify the development of a GAS vaccine through the development of a Full Public Health Value Proposition (FPHVP).
