The STARFISH Indigenous Governance Council (IGC) govern the STARFISH program of work. Comprised of Indigenous academics, clinicians, community partners and professional support services with a range of skills, experiences and expertise relevant to the IGC’s responsibilities, the IGC are the ultimate decision-making authority on STARFISH.
The IGC have developed, and provide guidance to STARFISH Investigators on, the implementation of the STARFISH Cultural Governance Framework.
STARFISH projects are designed by STARFISH Investigators and Collaborators, where they are then presented to the STARFISH Science Forum. Following support from the Science Forum, the project is presented to the STARFISH IGC for consideration. A project must be endorsed by the STARFISH IGC in order to progress.
