Project description
This study will be a multi-centred, prospective, cohort surveillance study looking at superficial Strep A infections in pre-school and school-aged children in urban Perth and Melbourne. In addition, the use of a point of care testing to inform diagnosis and treatment of sore throats in primary care will be evaluated. Participants will be recruited through general practices of which they are already patients. Baseline and Seasonal visits will be held at Perth Children’s Hospital Clinic D.
