We’ve heard from families that trustworthy information about preterm-associated lung disease is difficult to find. In response, we’ve created resources to empower families with the knowledge they need to manage these challenges.

At The Kids Research Institute Australia, the Children’s Lung Health team, Co-headed by Associate Professor Shannon Simpson, is dedicated to improving respiratory outcomes for individuals born preterm.

Our research focuses on understanding the long-term impacts of preterm birth on lung health, developing interventions, and identifying why children born preterm have different outcomes.
