It's Time - new video on the Apology to the Stolen Generations
Director of The Kids for Child Health Research Professor Fiona Stanley says she feels privileged to be a very small part of an inspiring new video on the Apology to the Stolen Generations by Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas and responsible for the Barack Obama "Yes We Can" video) and Perth Director/photographer Russell James.
"There is no doubt in my mind that The Apology is more than a symbol, but an important first step in true healing and reconciliation," Professor Stanley said.
"Closing the Gap is challenging and will take time, but we must hold firm in our commitment and energies. I am so pleased the Federal Government has announced an Aboriginal Healing Foundation and look forward to seeing the details in the report card to be delivered in Parliament today."
