Dang Quang Nguyen is a researcher and scientific software developer deeply committed to addressing complex social and healthcare challenges through analytical and computational methods. His current role is to develop novel mathematical models and methodologies to support public health decision-making and medical intervention strategies for infectious diseases caused by Strep A (Group A Streptococcus).
With a robust foundation in data science, machine learning, agent-based (or individual-based) epidemiological modelling, and public health, Quang brings a versatile skill set to problem-solving. He is passionate about leveraging his expertise to make a tangible and equitable impact on critical issues in childhood and maternal health.
In his academic career so far, Quang's research interests have been driven by a desire to apply quantitative methods to improve public health outcomes and tackle societal challenges. He is adept at working both autonomously and collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments, always maintaining high ethical standards and integrity. Beyond his core work, Quang is enthusiastic about exploring innovative AI techniques and technical ideas, integrating them into his research and daily life to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Outside of work, Quang enjoys exploring new places on foot, as well as swimming and healthy living.
