Discover . Prevent . Cure .

Tayla

Age 21. Disability Advocate, 2008 Telethon Child, Discovery Centre volunteer, trial participant.

I was born with cerebral palsy and live life on wheels. I love to use my personal experiences and firsthand knowledge to help and give back in any way I can. I believe research plays a vital role in medicine because it allows researchers and medical professionals to gain more knowledge and find other ways to provide health care and services.

I have taken part in numerous research studies; I've actually lost count of how many, but I absolutely love getting the opportunity to do so. If I was to send a message to other people encouraging them to participate in research all I would say is ‘do it!’  because your DNA, your experience and most importantly your results could also help change someone else’s life.
